From August 20 to 22, a group of 36 young overseas Chinese from 10 countries — including Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand — visited Baoshan as part of the "Nanyang Volunteer Drivers Historical Study Tour."The tour aimed to deepen understanding of the Nanqiao Volunteer Drivers, who supported the efforts of Chinese people’s war of resistance against Japan during WWII, and to strengthen emotional ties among overseas Chinese communities.
At the Overseas Chinese Middle School Memorial Hall, participants engaged with archival photos and stories that conveyed the spirit of "Saving the Nation Through Education."
The group also experienced Baoshan’s growing coffee culture. They've learned about the journey of how coffee beans transform into a cup of coffee, and tasted a range of local coffees.
